Provincial Government will be supported to develop and adopt a provincial water policy covering issues of water allocation rights, water usage including water efficiency, water user fees and management, irrigation schemes management etc.
The policy will also cover introduction and gradual adoption of efficient irrigation practices and help government funnel resources and manpower for introduction and implementation of water efficient practices and technologies.
